September is finally here!  So Many things going on.  Kids back in school, I'm looking for a job.  Charity work galore.  Yet there is sooo much I want to do.  So, I saw this idea somewhere....maybe on pinterest.  They had printed off a bucket list and framed it and put it in place they could see it.  I made the file a 10x8 print.

You can find a blank copy HERE, All you have to do is take a black marker and fill in what your September Bucket list is.

Enjoy!

Reward Sheet For Sprout

Hello!  Another printable for you!

As you all know, I have a child with Asperger's.  Well he's starting school next week and I went looking for some sort of reward chart.  Unfortunately I couldn't find one that met our needs.

Autistic children do well with short term rewards and a visual schedule.

So I made one for him.

I made a blank PDF file, that you can use a black pen and add the name you need in.

I plan on giving him a dollar a day, and then let him buy a reward on Saturday with the money.

The big reward will probably be a board game of some sort.  I'm going to pick out a game and put the photo in the square at the end.  You can also probably put pictures in the reward squares too.

You can download the file here.

Tortilla Pizzas For Camping!

Went camping this past weekend and we tried something new.

We made Tortilla Pizzas!  My children loved these!  It was easy to pack.  I bought a flat "variety" pack of pepperoni, ham, and salami.  I took one can of mushrooms and a can of pizza sauce, and I bought a pre-shredded package of cheese.

You can freeze both the variety pack and the cheese to throw in your cooler.  You could probably freeze the tortillas, but I wouldn't.

1. Spread your pizza sauce.

2. Put your toppings on.

3.  Put your cheese on, now fold over one half of your tortilla and put some more cheese on before folding over your other side.  This makes it stick together and they are easier to eat.

 4. Now wrap it into a pocket like this and seal your ends really good.
 5. I put names on the tinfoil.  That way, if you have a lot of them - like we did, we knew who's was who's. This works great with a black marker.  Which I always keep in the tote for camping.
 6.  Now, throw these over a low fire.  They only need about 5 minutes a side.   I let them cool down a bit and then we ate right off the tinfoil.  Easy clean up, just throw the tinfoil into the garbage. When you unwrap them, they should look like this.  Yummy Eh?
 7.  How good were they?   Well, check out my son after eating his second one, nothing left but sticky fingers.
You can take whatever kind of toppings you want.  Next time I was thinking of pre-cooking bacon and freezing it too. You can pre-cut veggies and throw them in your cooler as well.  What ever you want on your pizza.

Happy Camping!

Wonderful Dragon Gate!

I absolutely love this gate!  Someone posted it on facebook and I was so in love with it, I had to blog about it.

More like this is taking my mind off the fact that I dropped my son off at Autism Camp this morning and now I am anxiously waiting by the phone for them to call me with any news....

so enjoy this photo!

March's Ten Activities PDF

I know I have been absent.  My oldest son has been having difficulties and we have been seeing to them.  The time and energy needed has been a lot and I just haven't been able to get to this.

But I'm only one day late!

I am celebrating two things here, Dr. Seuss' Birthday and of course St. Patty's day!

Hope you and your kids enjoy!

Yummy Home made buns, in 30 minutes!

The boys and I made these yesterday!  They were soooo easy to make and let me tell you, they were so delicious they lasted a whole whopping 10 minutes.  Sprog put jam on them, Sprout had them with butter and jam and DH and I just had them with butter.

I, originally got this recipe off pinterest.  I love Pinterest!

So...I'll share the recipe!

If you go the to the Original blog, Here:  Your Homebased Mom, she has a printable version of this.

1 C plus 2 Tbsp warm water
1/3 C oil
2 Tbsp yeast
1/4 C sugar
1 tsp salt
1 egg
3 1/2 C bread flour (seems to work better but all purpose flour will also work)
Heat oven to 400 degrees.
In your mixer bowl combine the water, oil, yeast and sugar and allow it to rest for 15 minutes.  Using your dough hook, mix in the salt, egg and flour.  Knead with hook until will incorporated and dough is soft and smooth. (Just a few minutes)
Form dough into 12 balls and then place in a greased 9 x 13 pan and allow to rest for 10 minutes.  Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees or until golden brown.
If you want something garlicky for supper, add 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning, 1 teaspoon Garlic.

I did have photos of the kids making these, but let me tell you!  My kitchen was too messy to post them!  LOL!
